The result is a label readable both by traditional barcode scanners and by RFID readers that don't require a direct line of sight, enabling faster inventory counts, automated receiving, and real-time asset visibility at a scale and speed that barcode scanning alone cannot match. Getting the label right is as important as getting the printer right. The inlay type, antenna design, and facestock material all affect read range and reliability. Labels must be matched to the frequency your readers operate on, the surface they're applied to, and the environment they'll live in. General-purpose RFID labels like Zebra's Z-Perform 1500T work well on most non-metallic surfaces including corrugate and plastic — common in warehouse, retail, and supply chain applications.
